Information for our guests to know about our policies and procedures.

Cancellations

We require 48 hours notice prior to the date of arrival for all individual bookings or a cancellation fee of one night’s accommodation may be charged. This also applies in the event of a No Show. Group bookings are required to give 30 days minimum notice to avoid forfeiture of their deposit.

Bookings

Single-suite bookings may be made on-line with no deposit deducted from your credit card. Your credit card details will be retained to guarantee the booking. Group bookings will require payment of a deposit and special conditions. Please contact us by phone or e-mail.

Payment

All accommodation must be paid in full on the day of departure (if not already done so). Overdue/recovery charges will apply if your account is not paid on time.

Damages

Any extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our room or property to it’s normal condition will be charged to the guest responsible, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.

Smoking

We have a non-smoking policy for all suites. There are no exceptions and damages will be charged.

Visitors

Guests may have visitors but we do not allow large, noisy gatherings or parties in our rooms. Guests’ visitors must leave the premises quietly before 9.30 pm.

Check-in

Is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in/ or check-out is arrangement only.

Pets

We do not allow pets in our rooms.

We believe in protecting the beautiful environment that we have here in the Wairarapa, and want to ensure for the future to come that your families can enjoy its beauty too. Therefore we have developed an environmental plan, and we welcome your support.

Most of our Guests want to help with this where they can, so we invite you to join us by enjoying and understanding our hospitality commitment to this responsibility.


Energy

We use low-energy lightbulbs throughout our complex.
We regularly upgrade appliances to energy-efficient models.
We buy local produce where possible to reduce transport emissions.

Waste

We recycle by separating our waste products.
We have buckets for recycling items under the sink in all our units for your use, while staying.
We reduce packaging to a minimum, we reuse printing paper, and do double-sided copying.

Water

We have installed quality showers and ask that they be used sensibly towards consumption without compromising quality of shower, we regulate garden watering by use of sensible planting practices.

Pollution

We send our batteries and fluorescent bulbs for recycling/safe disposal.
We ask that fats and oils are not tipped down sinks. Ask at reception and a container will be provided.

Community

We buy local craft and artwork where possible.
We train our staff to commit to our environmental practices.
We inform our service providers of our environmental goals and ask of assistance in meeting targets.
